Character Background and Description Paola finds herself in a world she refuses to take part in. Born to native Ecuadorian farmers, she has watched Manta slowly disappear under prefabricated buildings and company logos. At the time of her birth, her parents farm was still quite a distance from the creeping growth of the city, but over two decades later, her parents were forcefully evicted and their small farm vanished under prefabricated living quarters. Now her parents had no choice but to be a part of the corporate machine but Paola refused and ran away from the city.
Unfortunately for her, she found herself homeless with nowhere to go, that is until she met up with the El Generacion Perdida resistance group. There she joined to make a difference and to fight back against the spread of corporate disease. While the group does sometimes use violence, Paola tries to do things peacefully through protests and leaflets. However, these have little effect despite her best efforts. She often wonders where her parents have ended up, but has no way to communicate or locate them.
